Terms of service

1. Nature of the relationship

Coastal Vanguard LLC (“Coastal Vanguard,” “we,” “our”) operates a research-supply platform that distributes lyophilized investigational peptides and reference standards to qualified laboratories, academic research institutions, and contract research organizations. The relationship between Coastal Vanguard LLC and the buyer (“Buyer,” “you,” “your”) is a commercial supply relationship between a research-supplier and a qualified-research buyer. Coastal Vanguard LLC does not practice medicine, does not provide medical advice, does not hold itself out as a supplier of medication, and does not supply products for administration to humans or animals.

2. Research-use-only product designation

All products sold by Coastal Vanguard LLC are investigational. They are supplied strictly for laboratory research, in-vitro investigation, analytical-method development, and preclinical animal-model research conducted by qualified researchers. The products are not medications, are not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the European Medicines Agency, or any other regulatory body, and are not intended for administration to humans or animals.

3. Buyer certification (qualified-researcher)

By placing an order through Coastal Vanguard LLC, the Buyer expressly certifies and represents that:

1. The Buyer is a qualified researcher, or an authorized representative of a qualified research institution;
2. The Buyer is at least eighteen (18) years of age;
3. The products will be used solely for laboratory research, in-vitro investigation, or preclinical animal-model research;
4. The products will not be administered to humans or animals, used for diagnostic purposes, used in trials involving human subjects, or used in any manner inconsistent with a research-use-only label;
5. The Buyer has the institutional authority and regulatory approvals required to receive and handle investigational compounds in the Buyer’s jurisdiction;
6. The Buyer will maintain chain-of-custody records for the products consistent with the standards of the Buyer’s institution.

Coastal Vanguard LLC reserves the right to refuse any order, in its sole discretion, if the Buyer’s research-use certification cannot be reasonably verified.

4. No advisory or therapeutic relationship

No advisory or therapeutic relationship is established by placing an order through this site. The Buyer acknowledges that Coastal Vanguard LLC is not acting as a healthcare provider and that nothing on this site constitutes medical advice. The Buyer is responsible for consulting their institution’s research-compliance office and applicable regulators regarding the lawful use of investigational compounds.

5. Indemnification and hold-harmless

The Buyer agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Coastal Vanguard LLC, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, demands, suits, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or in any way connected with the Buyer’s purchase, handling, storage, transfer, or use of the products, including but not limited to any misuse, unauthorized administration, or use inconsistent with the research-use-only designation.

6. Refusal of service

Coastal Vanguard LLC reserves the right to refuse service, terminate a Buyer account, cancel pending orders, and report suspected misuse to relevant authorities. Coastal Vanguard LLC also reserves the right to require additional documentation of institutional research credentials at any time, including prior to fulfillment of any subsequent order.

7. Shipping and cold chain

Shipping is governed by the Shipping Policy. All orders ship in validated cold-chain packaging. The Buyer is responsible for providing a delivery address where the package can be received Mon–Wed (we do not ship Thursday or Friday to avoid weekend in-transit dwell time).

8. Refunds

Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy. Vials that have been opened or used for any purpose are non-refundable.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the aggregate liability of Coastal Vanguard LLC for any claim arising from or related to a Buyer’s purchase shall not exceed the amount actually paid by the Buyer for the affected order. In no event shall Coastal Vanguard LLC be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

10. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [State of Incorporation], without regard to its conflict-of-laws provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in [County], [State].

11. Modifications

Coastal Vanguard LLC may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated to active Buyers by email at least thirty (30) days before taking effect. Continued use of the site after the effective date of modified Terms constitutes acceptance.
